Linux Server Maintenance

We have deployed many Linux servers all over New Zealand. Linux servers are rock solid, but not if you don't look after them. Having a Linux server has caused many sleepless nights for IT staff, many are afraid of them because they don't understand all the internal workings.

Totali manage a number of servers of various kinds around New Zealand, they all run well for one reason only, maintenance. Looking after any server is important, and Linux is no exception. We run Debian Linux on all our production systems. We have been using Debian Linux for many years in various environments, including virtual machines.

Totali can manage your servers for a flat fee, to keep uptime high, and downtime low. It's not uncommon to have 99% or greater uptime. We also help you factor in planned maintenance which is planned downtime. Planned downtime lets you keep your servers running at peak performance, and allows for hardware upgrades, software updates, and installation of new software packages. Planned downtime is important, as it increases your uptime. We plan maintenance downtime during low volume periods (these are usually weekends, or late evening).

Round the Clock Server Monitoring

We have a number of methods to ensure server uptime, one of those methods is server monitoring. We can arrange SMS text messages from your server to us, (and you as well) in case of failure of any sort. This means our response times are faster, and if a fault occurs we can get onto it right away. We can also email service reports to you once the problem has been resolved, so you know what the failure was, and the cause. Totali operates a transparent fault resolution system, we have nothing to hide, so tell you exactly why something was broken, and if we've stuffed up, we'll be the first to admit it.
